Jason Brilz began his career as a high-school wrestler, winning the state championship of Nebraska. He continued to be a four-year letterman in college, at the University of Nebraska, eventually making his MMA debut in 2000. He has gone on to achieve an 11-win streak, and has been in various talks with the UFC throughout the years, but he has finally secured his debut deal to fight in his native Omaha, Nebraska, at the UFC Fight Night 15. Originally, he was rumored to fight Thales Leites at UFC Fight Night 15, but ended up fighting Australian Brad Morris, defeating him via TKO at the 2nd round. Despite this relative success in his career, he has stated he is not interested in pursuing fighting full-time.
